The Funniest Casino Memes of All Time

Ahh, memes. They are a part of everyday culture and the internet ecosystem nowadays, and they are here to stay. Everything can and has been subject to memes at one point or another. That's just the nature of the internet.

Billions of users, millions of different communities and groups. It is only natural that almost everything would get a humorous spin to it, and casinos are no different.

So, whether you're here to commemorate your wins with some humor, relax after a stressful day at the casino, or if you just want to have some fun by relating to certain casino experiences, this article will have something for you!

Bait-and-Switch

First round, you make money. It fills you with confidence, hope, and optimism that you can't possibly lose. So, you bet hard on the following plays and before you realize it, your entire budget for the session is gone.

Tell me, who has never had such an experience playing at a casino before?

And this meme is a perfect showcase of that, by using images from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, as you see the before and after of Walter Donovan, a character whose greed eventually turns him into a skeleton.

Like every comedian knows, a dose of truth is one of the best ways to enhance jokes and while you don't turn into a skeleton when losing at a casino (or at least we hope you don't), part of you may wish that you could.

It's Not Gambling When You Know You're Gonna Win

This famous meme comes from The Hangover movie, where Alan Garner (played by Zach Galifianakis) travels to Las Vegas with a group of friends, including the protagonist Doug Billings.

This scene happens while they're in a car heading to Vegas, and one of Alan's friends recommends him not to gamble, to which Alan responds in the funniest way possible by saying it's not gambling when you know you're gonna win.

However, what really makes this moment special is Galifianakis' acting and the character's nonchalant personality.

I'm Always Watching

This meme perfectly encapsulates the experience of being a dealer in an online casino. Being recorded the entire time that you are on the clock working your shift is something almost no other job on the planet requires.

Unfortunately, that's not true for dealers who have to become used to being under the constant watch of players, sometimes dozens at a time, trying to read their every move in the hope of gaining some small advantage that will lead to a win

For most of us, having our every move recorded would be extremely stressful, but as theme meme perfectly shows, it is just another day in the life of a casino dealer.

Cyanide & Happiness on Gambling

Cyanide & Happiness has been around since 2005 publishing a new comic strip on an almost daily basis. Therefore, it is no wonder that there have been some gems related to casinos and gambling.

For many, the nonsensical, exaggerated humor is the perfect form of expression for casino memes.

In this case, the character has become so eager to gamble on anything, that he takes an opportunity to gamble without even properly hearing the conditions of it and realizes he might have a gambling problem.

Dumb & Dumber at the Casino

This meme features Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels from the movie Dumb & Dumber. On the upper panel, you have the duo going to the casino, and on the bottom panel, you see them coming back from the casino.

And as the meme shows, this is a perfect example of a before/after shot of a losing day at a casino. The fact that you don't even need to see what happened at the casino to know what happened, you just need to take a look at their expressions and it's clear why they're in low spirits after coming back.

Never Again!

Promising yourself that you are never going to gamble again after a single loss is an all-too-common experience for both the experience and inexperienced alike. But who'd have guessed it, as soon as you see a casino, the urge comes back in full force.

This meme captures this concept perfectly by using Dory from the movie Nemo. Dory is a character with an incredibly short memory that forgets things that literally just happened.

And just like a fish's memory, it's not too uncommon for real people to forget the promise they made, or even make it a habit to tell themselves the phrase every time they gamble, and forget it every time, just like Dory.

Just One More!

In some ways, this meme is just like the previous "Never Again!", where a specific trigger leads you into a spiral of decisions you promised to not make.

Except that instead of promising to never play again, you promise to play just one more.

And then you play another one.

And again.

And again.

And before you realize it, you've entered a spiral of constantly trying to reach a win. Or worse, you turn a win into a loss by staying too long. In either case, this meme from South Park is a perfect example of it.

Monetize Your Skills

From one of the most popular movies of all time, 2008's The Dark Knight, this meme gives you Heath Ledger's Joker saying "If you're good at something, never do it for free."

With one twist, however: The thing he is good at is losing money while gambling. The Dark Knight's Joker meme have been used for more than a decade now, and it fits gambling perfectly by giving an ironic twist to the joke.

Living Dangerously

Taken from the Austin Powers movies and using the infamous phrase "I too like to live dangerously", the meme represents the danger of bringing a debit card to a casino.

While experienced players know the usefulness of budget or bankroll management, some players do like to live dangerously by putting themselves into debt for a chance at making their money back in a casino.

Don't be like the Austin Powers character though. Instead, you should have a clear budget for your gambling. Because while living a little dangerously can be okay and fun, bringing a debit card to a casino might be crossing the line.
